Ryan Cartier implements a business strategy rooted in obsessive customer focus defining value from the customers perspective.

Recognizing it as a business growth strategy – and underutilized opportunity producing consistent double-digit results - he pursued every avenue he could find on it - which initially was quite limited.

During his time leading the first Lean implementation he

organized changeover reduction resulting in a 50% capacity increase; saved capital cost expenditures $160K
reduced packing line time 39%; redeployed 5 freed up personnel to support other areas
initiated a supplier’s Lean implementation, reduced turn around time and increased output 50% on main service line through coaching continuous improvement leader in their facility

Ryan has immersed himself in over 10 years of Lean implementation (also known as Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence) which includes leading 3 corporate wide deployments.

He is also one of very few Canadians practicing Lean Product & Process Development (in ‘hybrid’ design environments) a completely different application to ‘factory’ lean generating competitive advantage – and hoping more people adopt current design & engineering practices.

His experience was built through multiple industries including high tech, custom 1 off and short run manufacturing, healthcare, retail, distribution, financial services, oil & gas, and heavy equipment.
